The Museum of the American Indian was a demanding construction subcontract to bid and project manage because the wide open public spaces and large exhibition galleries are all curved.

The 225 West Wacker Building was the first my first high rise construction subcontract. I walked the job from the roof to basement garage. The building is used for commercial office space and has been sold to a South Korean investment company.

Lambeau Field

Mike Roemer/AP: Fans showed up last February to dig out Lambeau Field after the Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV so the famed stadium could host the victory celebration.

Fans helped clear snow from Lambeau Field’s 73,128 seats on Friday for the division playoff against the New York Giants. 1,200 people showed up to help. Notice the innovative snow chute in the center of photo above. No retractable stadium roof is required at the Frozen Tundra.

I was the Project Manager of a subcontractor at the last major Lambeu Field renovation.

CBOT

Getty Images: Treasury traders in Chicago last year.

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) is the worlds’ oldest futures an options exchange with an octagon shaped trading pit. Trading is done through open outcry in the pit and 24 hour eTrading. Much the trading is done electronically now but the pit remains the best place to get some complex options filled.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Sky Lobby From Robb Report

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is a 47 floor hotel with 392 guestrooms and 225 condominiums. The elevators on the ground floor take guests up to the Sky Lobby lobby on the 23rd floor.

When worked as project manager on the Mandarin Oriental Hotel I had to to walk up the stairs all the way to the 23rd floor lobby.

The Cosmopolitan Resort is located on the Las Vegas Strip next to City Center. The views from the balconies of the Bellagio fountain and City Center are great.

I was the estimator for a successful interior subcontact proposal and job completion.

Wikinomics

Wikinomics – A model for mass collaboration (From Association for Climate Technology Solutions)

Wikinomics is a new and interesting word seen in print in 2011. It is the open souce  collaboration using information previously considered confidential intellectual property of electronic means. Wikinomic collaboration works well when none of the project information missing and is it easily available without special permissions.
